Arsenal knew that they had to deliver a strong performance against Newcastle after the manner at which they lost against Liverpool.
Their goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, had to be alert a couple of times however, in order to deny Newcastle.
Arsenal's dominance paid off during the second half with Bukayo Saka finishing off a classic Arsenal move involving multiple passes.
Saka was then withdrawn due to injury. His replacement Gabriel Martinelli, on the other hand, was all the more impressive as he also scored a wonderful goal.
Martinelli, would go on to cause trouble for Newcastle due to his direct dribbling skills as well as pace.
His goal was an amazing first time finish, which he put past the goalkeeper after Arsenal right back Tomiyasu, hit a delicious over the top delivery.
After the game, Martinelli, was questioned about his general performance.
The youngster could have chosen to complain about his lack of minutes. However, he stayed humble, when giving his opinion.
According to Martinelli, he did not worry too much about his lack of game time.
However, he would always be ready to give his all for his team and fans no matter how many minutes were allocated to him.
