The U23 CeCaFa senior challenge competitions are set to begin on 17th of July to 1st of August this year. The competition will be held in Ethiopia. The aim of this competitions is to promote the talents of younger players to bigger clubs. Kenya has been grouped in the same group with Djibouti and South Sudan. The emerging stars are expected to shine in this competitions as they have done a lot in terms of preparation.
The teams coach Stanley Okumbi said that, "From what I have seen,we are capable of going all the way and win the competitions. The spirit is good and the players are upbeat about getting positive results in this regional competitions. It is also a challenge for the selected players to show what they are capable of doing. They have a chance to show that they are ripe for consideration in senior team future engagement." As quoted from his speech on 14th of July this year.
Fans are expecting good results from the team as they have done a lot.
