Spain head coach Luis Enrique has announced his squad for the upcoming World Cup set to take center stage in Qatar in a few days time.
The 2010 world cup champions will be aiming for the prestigious title just like the other nations in the competition.
Spain have announced their 26-man squad with the only Chelsea player in the list being international regular Cesar Azpilicueta.
Enrique has left out Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marc Cucurella who have been playing regularly this season under Graham Potter.
The omission is quite a disadvantage for the players but it's good news for Graham Potter who will need his players in one piece after the international break.
Kepa's last game for his country was back in 2020 when he played against Portugal in a friendly match while Cucurella's last appearance was against Lithuania in a friendly match in June 2021.
Azpilicueta who is the only Chelsea player set to represent the 2010 champions will be heading to his third world cup after featuring in 2014 and 2018.
