Two of the best sides in Europe this campaign, English powerhouse Liverpool & Spanish giants Real Madrid, travelled to Stade de France in Paris Yesterday, to battle for the Champions league crown.
The Reds dominated possession in the 1st half & they created multiple chances, but they'll failed to capitalize, with Real Madrid shot stopper Thibaut Cortouis forming a brick wall in the goal post. However the Los Blancos were the one who threw the first blow, as Karim Benzema found the back of the net in the 43rd minute, but was controversially choked of by both the referee Clerment Turpin & the VAR.
The decision however was unfair because, despite the fact that Karim Benzema was in an offside position, he was clearly put onside as Fabinho got the last touch of the ball which was a clear backpass & the goal should have stood.
Real Madrid went on to win the match as Vinicius Junior fired home a cool finish in the 59th minute to give the Los Blancos a 1-0 victory which also ensured they lifted their 14th UCL title.
