The 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season started last weekend.
However, teams are currently trying to boost their squads in this open transfer window so as to compete against other clubs comfortably and challenge defending champions Tusker FC.
Over the weekend: Gor Mahia, Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards, Bandari FC, Kakamega Homeboyz, Ulinzi Stars and Sofapaka won their opening matches.
Wazito and Tusker have made a number of signings in the current window with AFC Leopards and Sofapaka been unable to have their newly signed players registered as a result of a transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA.
In a statement released by Football Kenya Federation, the window that opened in August has a month to its closure.
The international transfer window that opened on Monday, 9th August 2021 shall close on Friday, 29th October 2021 at 2359Hrs while the domestic transfer window shall remain open from Monday, 23rd August 2021 at midnight until Monday, 1st November 2021 at 1700Hrs.
