As the 2022 world cup approaches the quarter finals stage, the race to clinch the golden boot award is slowly shaping up. Regular favourites to win the prestigious award including Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandoski & Cristiano Ronaldo have hit the ground running with a couple of strikes each so far.
However, PSG & France super star Kylian Mbappe has emerged as the favourite to secure the top scorer award in the elite tournament this term. The 23 year old has really produced a string of excellent perfomances for the Les Bleus, inspiring them to the quarter finals stage where they will square off against fellow powerhouse England.
