Arsenal grabbed all the three points today after defeating Liverpool at Emirates Stadium. This made them to return back on top of the Premier League table with only one point separating them from defending champions Manchester City.
In today's match, the Gunners opened the scoring in the 2nd minute after Gabriel Martinelli scored. Liverpool responded in the 34th minute where Darwin Nunez grabbed an equalizer from close range.
In the 45th minute, Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners a lead before half time. In the second half, Liverpool came with a new energy where Roberto Firmino leveled the score but a 76th minute penalty from Bukayo saka made sure the Gunners won all the three points.
In that match, one of the Gunners stars who impressed is Tomiyasu. Tomiyasu has been starting from the bench bench most matches this season. Today, he was one of the players who played a major role for the Gunners victory. He made sure Mohammed Salah didn't score by blocking all his passes and shots.
Tomiyasu great defending skills has proved he can be of great help to the Gunners in the coming matches if arteta will give him more playing time.
This now means that Arteta might find it hard to bench Tomiyasu after his top perfomance in today's match.
