Popular Harambee Stars fan, Isaac Juma, who was a constant presence in the stands when the national team was playing, was brutally murdered by unknown people at his rural home in Kakamega on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the gang first approached his animal den and when he heard the sheep bleating, he moved out of his house with his brother and son to see what was happening.
The machete-wielding gang confronted him and started cutting him several times on the head, killing him on the spot. His brother and son managed to run away unharmed.
Mumias West Sub-County Police Commander, Stephen Muoni, has confirmed the tragic incident.
“The family was in the house when at around 11 pm, they heard sheep bleating from the animals’ den. He alerted his brother and son and when he went out, he was met with a panga-wielding gang that attacked and killed him on the spot,” he said.
