Long distance race

Why If It Is A Race, There Will Be Rivals

Don’t say you are not competing with anyone. People who are your cohorts have already taken off in the race of life. One problem Adam had was that he did not have a sense of COMPETITION around him (Genesis 1:26-28). God made man and gave Him dominion.

There was nothing to jolt Adam into action. God made everything beautiful for him. That was God’s original plan for man. There were no age-mates, no school-mates, no colleagues. It was just him. So he could afford to do what ‘kicked him out’ of Eden and live a dishonorable life.

Why? There were no physical onlookers. There were also no rivals in the race of life. Unlike Jesus, who was born at the time when there were the Scribes, Pharisees, and Doctors of the law.

Even God says to us that we can either serve Him or Mammon (Matthew 6:24). God knows there is competition out there to sway people from Him. He would also say that from everlasting to everlasting, He is God (Isaiah 43:13).

A way of saying that He has not come down and He is not willing to come down as God (He cannot be ‘decoded’). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more (Hebrews 13:8). He was also able to establish the likely influence of mammon on man. However, the choice will be man’s own to make.

If it is a race, there will be rivals and a destination. Anyone without a sense of RIVALRY will not have a sense of improvement or will not press for excellence. Stop thinking that the world will slow down to your pace, you catch up by running the race. This is why the Anointing is on you, to aid your race. It is not for one to kill or do anything unscriptural like Cain (Genesis 4:8), but for one to strive to rise and not rest on one’s oars.

We’re on the road to cloud – what do you mean our rivals may be going ...
