Kenyan Keeper Trainee, Siwa Defends Farouk Shikhalo After Conceding 'A Wonder Goal' VS Azam

The club's goalkeeper coach comes out to defend the Kenyan goalkeeper who scored the game-winning goal for the 'Ice-cream Makers.'

Yanga SC has defended goalkeeper Farouk Shikalo after Azam FC's goal in a Mainland Premier League, VPL match at Mkapa Stadium on Sunday denied them a point.

Many Yanga supporters believed the Kenyan keeper was to blame for failing to save the long-range strike.

Dube picked up a loose ball outside the 18-yard box, looked around as if to pass the ball but found Shikalo was off his line and unleashed a thunderous shot that the keeper attempted to save but instead assisted it into the net.

Yanga keeper coach Razak Siwa, who is a Kenyan Citizen, has now come out to support Shikhalo, claiming that the goal scored by Dube was an absolute masterclass and could have worried any goalkeeper in the world.

"The person who scored the goal used a lot of experience and high intelligence to convert the chance. You can't blame the goalkeeper for such a goal; it was well-executed, and it was well-deserved." Said Razak Siwa.
