Why Croatia Might Cause Problems to Brazil side in the Quarter Finals.

Brazil may be flawed in certain tactical senses but it's clear that their player quality & general balance is conducive to winning any and *every* game of football.Croatia will take control away from Brazil, but the likelihood of them 'stopping' the Brazilians is low.

Croatia are a team that can cause any side problems. Brazil's press is largely passive in settled play and Croatia have technical quality that few teams can match. Their midfield trio of Kovacic, Brozovic, and Modric is elite, and it helps having someone like Gvardiol behind 'em.

This facet alone means the game will be competitive. Croatia also attack in a 4-3-3 where Brazil largely defend in a 4-4-2, so they can create a 5v4 in the last line. However, Raphinha often drops all the way into the last line of defence so he can help mitigate that overload.

Croatia's biggest problem, though, is a lack of goals. They may have incredible technical quality but they struggle to punish teams in transition or when trying to break down their low block due to a lack of dynamism in attack. It's all slow, predictable, & 'easy' to nullify.

Croatia's biggest weapon is their ability to sustain pressure and create off the back of that combined with the fact that they *can* create transitional opportunities because their midfield is so hard to press which frees up space for Perisic and co to attack in offensive areas
