Philippe Coutinho is a Brazilian - Portuguese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Spanish club Barcelona and the Brazil national team.
The Brazilian foward had been heavily linked with am move to the Emirates stadium last summer before he decided to stay at Barcelona for one more season hoping to get the minutes he deserved at the Camp Nuo.
However, Barcelona now face a potential dilemma. Coutinho is only ten appearances short of earning his 100th fot the giants, meaning Barcelona will have to pay an extra £20 million as per the deal that saw him swap Merseyside for Barcelona.
With that case, Barcelona would be forced to sell him to avoid paying the extra cash, putting Arsenal in the pole position of signing the Brazilian, who could be a long term successor of former Germany attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil on a long term basis.
