Italy advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2020 European Championship thanks to 2-1 victory over Austria courtesy of Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina's extra time goals with Kalajozic goal only but a consolation to the Austrian side at the Wembley Stadium.
Chelsea defensive midfielder Jorginho was a star performer once again for the Azzurri in their packed midfield three alongside Paris Saint Germain's Marco Verratti and Nicolo Barela. Despite lagging off abit in the second period, the former Napoli star played the full 120 minutes helping his side continue their 100% win in the competition eliciting mixed reactions.
One Twitter user identified as Matthew Amalfitano reacted that, "Jorginho more in control of the game with Verratti out.. wondering if that can continue next match."
Rangers Bantz added that, "Verratti first half was good but 2nd half he and Jorginho struggled. Locatelli and Chiesa both in with a great chance of starting in the quarter final."
