Tuchel Might Have Hinted At Wesley Fofana Transfer As Blues Boss Calls For New Generation In Defence

Chelsea have one of the best defences in the English top flight league full of experience and the likes of Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and new signing Kalidou Koulibaly quite advanced in age.

Thomas Tuchel has hinted at the blues need to sign Leicester city defender Wesley Fofana due to the age of his defence to be able to compete on the highest level.

Despite winning at Goodison park, Thomas Tuchel admitted that the age of his current defence could undermine Chelsea's performance this season.

Tuchel stated that they are really experienced and they know what they are doing and have a lot of quality but they need to have a new generation for the next years although he trusts the players he currently have.

Tuchel called out on the need to balance because the game currently is very physical with very high pace and speed and demands a lot.

Tuchel also stated that apart from his experienced Thiago Silva, Kalidou Koulibaly and Cesar Azpilicueta the goal keeper and the double sixes are also in their thirties.

Wesley Fofana who is only 21 years old would be a good fit for Chelsea but Leicester do not want to let him go lightly.

The blues manager has hinted at a need for one more player preferably a defender despite the fact that their are concerns about attackers at the club.
