Here is the latest from Manchester United:
Lisandro Martinez has been a revelation since making his Manchester United debut. In his first full month at the Theater of Dreams, the £56 million summer signing has already won his first Man United player of the month award. Stan Collymore has high hopes for the defender. Martinez has been dubbed "Top Class" by Collymore in an interview with Caught Offside.
"One of the very best," said Collymore.
"He is going to have perhaps more people attacking him than at Old Trafford than, for example, Virgil Van Dijk at Anfield, or the likes of Cancelo, John Stones and co. at the Etihad.
"But from everything I have seen from him so far, he has every single attribute of a top-class defender."
In other news, Casemiro was introduced as a second-half substitute against Southampton and then Leicester; these cameos have no doubt helped United see out games because of the calmness he brings to United's defensive play. Ten Hag's Casemiro strategy appears to be working so far, and the Dutch tactician may now be ready to give the Brazilian his full United debut. According to MEN in Casemiro, Ten Hag may have found his own Matic, and with Arsenal's midfield in disarray, the Gunners must be ready.
On Casemiro's impact at United, MEN's Richard Fay writes, "It was a similar role to the one that Nemanja Matic was tasked with in recent seasons when he'd be brought on to bring calmness and composure to the midfield, though this is a more deluxe version, with Casemiro capable of doing that when starting games as well."
