He was rushed to Lessos clinic and later referred to Kapsabet.
The car crash has left Matasi with several injuries and is currently hospitalised at Kapsabet hospital where he was rushed to in an ambulance, from Lessos clinic.
The former AFC Leopards goalkeeper is currently undergoing several scans as he is complaining of chest pains.
According to an eye witness, Matasi lost control of the car with the tyre bursting before rolling off the road.
His brother Albert Malanda has confirmed the incident saying, “The car lost control and developed a tyre burst then rolled over".
The brother said that Mr Matasi was with his family and two brothers in-law and currently the doctor is running some scans on him because he is complaining of chest pains.
His brothers in law, wife together with the children have also suffered multiple injuries and are at the same health center.
The accident happened as they were traveling from Kakamega to Nairobi after a short home visit.
