FIFA World Cup

With Spaniards in the same mix, Germany will be determined to start their campaign with an emphatic win. They also view this as an opportunity to become the joint-most successful team in world football, along with Brazil.

They went through the qualifiers as if it was not even a challenge for them. They surely have the upper hand this Wednesday, against the comparatively inexperienced Japanese. Moreover, Japan might be heavyweights in the Asian region, but this is a totally different ball game. And to make matters further worse for the Samurai Blues, they have an inferior h2h record against this opponent. Likely, expect a win for four-time champions Germany at the Khalifa International.

Going on, all eyes will be on Thomas Muller, as the lanky striker tries to surpass countryman Miroslav Klose at the top of the list, in terms of goals scored at the World Cup. The Bayern Munich front-man needs six more goals to get to the top. And be quite sure he will be hunting down this target with single-minded focus, after the embarrassment on 2018.

Morocco arrived to Qatar with big expectations after a tremendous qualifying campaign and a strong series of results in the last couple of years. The opening match against Croatia carries a massive importance for the Atlas Lions. A potential win here would open up the way for the knockout stage.

The Moroccans have changed the manager just before the World Cup as Vahid Halilhodzic was replaced by local coach Walid Regragui.

Regragui has enough talent in his ranks, including the players such as Hakim Ziyech, Amine Harit, Youssef En-Nesyri, Sofiane Boufal, Naif Ahuerd, Noussair Mazraoui, and Achraf Hakimi.Morocco demolished DR Congo 4-1 in the reverse fixture of the African WC Qualification playoffs. They were, however, stopped in the quarterfinal of the African Cup of Nations, falling 2-1 at the hands of Egypt last year.

Croatia could once again be one of the tournament’s dark horses after shockingly reaching the final four years ago in Russia. The team led by Zlatko Dalic have successfully passed the recent obstacles, winning both their European WC Qualification group and the UEFA Nations League section.

The Croats were especially impressive in the recent Nations League affairs, winning four on the trot to secure the top spot in their respective group.Dalic mainly relies on his team’s impressive midfield with the likes of Marcelo Brozovic, Luka Modric, and Mateo Kovacic.

Surely we expect Croatia to win but Both teams to Score too.

Belgium will make one final push in an attempt to win gold at the biggest stage with their golden generation.Spanish manager Roberto Martinez has numerous injury woes ahead of the World Cup. Romelu Lukaku will certainly not be available for the Group F opener against Canada.

However, the Red Devils have enough weapons elsewhere. Kevin De Bruyne is the team’s biggest star, while the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens, Yannick Carrasco, and Leandro Trossard are well capable of shining against any team on the planet. The Belgians won the third place at the World Cup in Russia, beating England 2-0 in the 3rd-place battle.

They fell to Italy 1-2 in the EURO 2020 quarterfinal after shipping only a single goal in four games beforehand. The Belgians did not have any troubles topping their WC Qualification group ahead of Czech Republic and Wales, while they came second in the recent UEFA Nations League campaign.

Canada will make their first World Cup appearance since 1986. They have earned it thanks to a stunning campaign in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifications. The team led by English manager John Herdman topped the final group of eight CONCACAF zone teams ahead of the likes of Mexico, United States, and Costa Rica. They have allowed only 7 goals in 14 outings in the process. Nevertheless, we must say that the Canadian back line did not look great in the recent friendlies.

We expect Belgium to Win this match
