Manchester United are currently leading Fulham at Old Trafford thanks to Cavani's excellent lob. The match presented United with the chance to welcome back fans into the ground after 14 months. The match has not disappointed because the fans have been able to see a wonderful goal from almost halfway.
However, the goal has been married with a suspected blunder by VAR. This is because Cavani seems to be standing in an offside position when the ball is played by De Gea. If Bruno Fernandez had touched the ball then Cavani would not have been offside. However, he completely missed the ball which means the goal should not have stood. This is one of the most frustrating things about VAR. It is not consistent with its decisions. There are times a decision is made and others it is ignored.
Manchester United have been lucky with that decision. However, the goal was stills beauty. What do you think? Should it have stood?
