Reports from Manchester are whispering that Manchester United are keen to offer Bruno Fernandes an improved new deal due to his performances and contribution to the club over the past 12 months he's been in the club.
Bruno currently earns as much as double the £50,000 he used pocket back at Sporting Lisbon, and Ed Woodward is Willing to put the Portuguese star in the same level with other top earning teammates like Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire.
The two parties have been holding talks of a new contract since November of 2020, but the Portuguese star is rumoured to be willing to wait until the end of the season. Fernandes is said to have halted the deal so that he can concentrate on the pitch as he believes the discussions are only going to disrupt his fine form.
Indeed the Manchester United star deserves a better pay considering his role and contribution to the team since he came in. So far he has 29 goals and 24 assists to his name in 50 matches, which is an incredible record for a player to achieve in the English Premier league.
According to Ole Gina Solskjaer, he's not surprised about the Portuguese performances, class and contribution to the team, as he himself went to scout the player in a game against Porto and he right away knew the kind of player he was signing.
If Bruno Fernandes continues to dominate Manchester United with his stellar performances, then it's not going to take long before he gets the captains armband, as he's a qualified leader in the dressing room and also on the pitch.
