Arsenal: Spurs Attacker Hails Conte as Greatest Manager- Arteta Made Right Call By Ditching Target

After Arsenal’s seismic win on Saturday over their arch rivals, Antonio Conte had a lot of praises for Mikel Arteta and how far he has come with Arsenal. The Italian manager admitted that the game was won fair and square by Arsenal and accordingly congratulated them for the important win that ended Spurs’ win. As for Arteta, he gave all the credit to the players for their outstanding performance and playing as disciplined as they possibly could.

Injured winger Dejan Kulusevksi admitted that the defeat to Arsenal was a bitter pill to swallow and that his side ought to have done better. He nonetheless pointed out that Antonio Conte has not been disheartened by the defeat. He further explained that for a man of Conte’s standards, such losses are what gives him motivation to work twice as hard and reverse the effect in the next gameweek.

It is worth mentioning that Arsenal were previously linked with Dejan Kulusevksi before he made the brave decision to join Spurs. Reports clam that it was the presence of Antonio Conte at Spurs that lured him to divert his destination from the Emirates to White Hart Lane in January. He has since been an integral part of the squad but now faces stiff competition from Richarlison who is ,equally if not better, talented as Kulusevksi.

Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal’s best player this year…

Kulusevksi was touted to be Saka’s direct rival in the squad last season. Arteta was keen on elevating Saka’s quality in the pitch by signing an equally offensive minded player to rival him in the starting eleven since Nicolas Pepe was withdrawn from competing with Saka’s dominance. Should the move have been completed, there is a chance that Saka would have stumbled along the way with pressure and probably Kulusevksi would have struggled a lot in getting his groove in the new league.

Bukayo Saka has trudged a long way for the past three years or so at Arsenal and right now is considered the most valuable player in the squad. Such a status in the squad means that he is practically irreplaceable but with how Arteta has managed the likes of Özil ad Aubameyang, Saka should not be too confident that he cant fall off the pecking orders of the manager.
