Harambee Stars' Strongest Starting 11, that Could Outsmart Mali in the Thursday World Cup Qualifiers

The Harambee stars face Mali on Thursday at 10 pm EAT time. Kenya came into the match with 2 draws, which come against Uganda and Rwanda, while Mali come into the game with a win against Rwanda and a draw against Uganda.

A win for Kenya against Mali would not only be the perfect debut for Kenya's new coach, Engin Firat, but it would also be a chance for Kenya to go to the top of the group, boosting the chance for Kenya to qualify for the Qatar World Cup as only the group leaders qualify.

Engin Firat has selected goalkeepers Ian Otieno, Brian Bwire, and Faruk Shikhalo for Kenya's trip to Mali. Firat's defense includes Joseph Okumu, Joash Onyango, David Owino Odhiambo, Johnstone Omurwa, Eugene Asike, Daniel Sakari, Abud Omar, Eric Ouma, and Bolton Omwenga. Richard Odada, Lawrence Juma, Ismael Gonzalez, Kenneth Muguna, Duke Abuya, Boniface Muchiri, Eric Zakayo, Phillip Mayaka, and Abdalla Hassan make up his midfield. Michael Olunga, Henry Meja, and Eric Kapaito are his assailants. Given the squad at Firat's disposal, the starting lineup listed below could earn Kenya a much-needed win, allowing us to top the group.
