After a series of English Premier League (EPL) matches over the weekend, the final match of matchday 2 which was between Liverpool and Crystal Palace was played on the night of Monday August 15.After entertaining 90 minutes of the match, the two teams settled for a 1-1 draw.
Crystal Palace opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Wilfred Zaha.12 minutes into the second half, Darwin Nunez was red carded but this did not seem to affect Liverpool's striking as Lius Diaz netted the equalizer 4 minutes later in the 61st minute.After this match, a number of changes were witnessed on the EPL table.
Crystal Palace who had no point before the match rose to the 16th position with one point while Liverpool rose to 12th with 2 points.Manchester City, Arsenal and Brentford remained at the top three positions with 6, 6 and 4 points respectively.
