The Premier League match between Newcastle and Tottenham was suspended for 20 minutes on Sunday after a supporter required medical treatment before being taken to the hospital. It was Tottenham player Eric Dier who was alert to the emergency and indicated a defibrillator was required in the stand.
Around the 41st minute, a fan reportedly collapsed in the stands. The Tottenham players spotted the fans signalling about it and called for a defibrillator to be brought over.
The game was paused for several minutes before the referee asked the players to come off the pitch after a conversation with a steward.
So far, the full nature of the incident is not clear, and we'll continue monitoring the developments.
