With barely a day to the closure of the summer transfer window in Europe, various top clubs are in a move of strengthening their squads by securing their last set of new signings. One of these clubs is Manchester United who have completed the signing of highly rated Brazilian winger Antony Matheus dos Santos at a fee of €95 million plus €5 million add-ons fee.
Born in Osasco, Sao Paulo, Antony marked his senior career debut in 2018 with Sao Paulo after which he went on to join Ajax in 2020.At Ajax, he scored a total of 18 goals in 57 appearances which were key in Ajax's 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons Eredivisie title wins.
At Manchester United, he has rejoined with his immediate former manager Erick Ten Hag.Do you think this is the signing Manchester United needed following their mixed performances in the first English Premier League matches?
