Vihiga Queens Star Players Reportedly Set to Join a New Club Abroad

Football in Kenya is developing in a phenomenal way, despite the management problems faced by the Football Kenya Federation. A region like Western Kenya boast of having more than three teams in the Kenyan Premier League including Kakamega Homeboyz, Vihiga United, Nzoia Sugar and Vihiga bullets.

Another club from Kakamega that has recently risen and made history is Vihiga Queens. The players made a historical win during the CECAFA Women Qualifiers that concluded at Moi stadium, Kasarani.

Vihiga exhibited exemplary performance by defeating Commercial Bank of Ethiopia 2-1, becoming the first Women's club to win a regional title.

And now, Vihiga Queens duo of Lilian Awuor and Terry Engesha are on the verge of joining an unnamed club in France after a superb outing in the CAF Women's Champions League.

Another Moroccan club is said to be interested in keeper Awuor. An Official bid is expected to be made this week.
