Thomas Tuchel Should Be Worried About His Job Security Despite Recently Breaking a Club Record

Chelsea have been a story of success for the past 12 months mainly because of Thomas Tuchel who utilized to great effect the resources Frank Lampard assembled. Any Chelsea fan would admit hands down that Tuchel is the best Chelsea manager aside from Jose Mourinho in the club’s history because what he has achieved in the short time he has been at the club is unbelievable. And if things go according to plan, Tuchel might be lucky enough to win the League Cup.

Being a successful Chelsea manager is not easy however because there is a lot of pressure and expectations to overcome from the club’s board. Jose Mourinho, Maurizio Sarri, Antonio Conte, Andre Villas-Boas are just some of the great managers in Europe who were given the chance to lead the club and succeeded to great extent but later faced the axe after a slight misstep.

To be fairly honest, Thomas Tuchel’s job security is not assured and at any moment he could be the agenda in an emergency board meeting. So far, however, he has proven without a shadow of a doubt that he is the ideal orchestrator of the current squad and only his ideas can be synthesized by the current tactical formation used by the club. He was able to clinch the Champions League with the same squad Frank Lampard struggled to maintain in the top ten of the English Premier League table.

Having reached the League Cup final has been a major achievement for the German coach and has set him higher in the manager ranks as the first Chelsea coach to lead the club to a Champions League final, Super Cup final, and the League Cup final. The next step after this achievement would be to eventually win the final which will not be an easy task.

Tuchel has been hailed by many and his reputation has preceded borders far beyond. Recently he was named Manager of the Year in the Ballon d’Or awards following his impressive run last season. This year, all fingers are crossed as Chelsea seek to defend their Champions League title and competitively challenge for a top-two finish in the league.
