La Liga

From Ligi Ndogo to Malaga FC in Spain, check out Mulu's path and his progress years later

As a country we are on the trend of producing young footballers. Ben Meso may be the current young footballer making news because of him joining Arsenal at a tender age but he is not the only one to make such a move. Not many know him but Erick Mulu is also a young Kenyan footballer who had a chance to go abroad while still young in 2018.

It was in the Green Sports Academy trials held in December 2018, that Eric Mulu impressed the scouts from LALIGA earning a dream scholarship to Malaga's football academy.

Before the move Mulu was just a normal kid trying his luck while polishing his football skills at Ligi Ndogo. Ligi Ndogo is a soccer youth academy based in Nairobi, an academy which has been at the fore front of producing some of the top young Kenyan footballers.

Now 18, Mulu has trained with the Malaga football academy for the last 2 years and in 2021 the academy offered him a chance to join and play for one of their associate clubs, CD Almunecear ( some of CD Almunecear players during training on the picture below).

Just starting his proffessional career Mulu is one player who is destined for greatness. All we can do is hope he reaches his full potential.
