How Marcos Alonso Saved The Life Of A Fan That Collapsed At Watford Stadium

Chelsea and Spain left-back Marcos Alonso displayed his sportsmanship attribute in their Premier League match against Watford at Vicarage Road last night. During the 12th minute, the game was paused for some time after a fan had collapsed forcing the players to head back into the dressing room for some time.

Marcos Alonso was the first player to notice the heartbreaking incident and immediately informed the referee who paused the match and called the medics to assist the fan and give the fan proper medical attention.

Football fans have come out to applaud Alonso for his human act which would be crucial in saving the fan's life. Reports via Chelsea News have it that after getting the medical attention fast, there are high chances that the troubled fan will get past his health challenge thanks to Alonso.

Nevertheless, this will work as a symbol and lesson to other players that they should try and help any situation they find themselves in as it will make the world a safer place.

The match was later resumed and it was Chelsea who first opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Mason Mount who converted Kai Havertz's pass. Watford scored the equalizer just before halftime through Emmanuel Bonaventure to end the first half in a 1-1 draw.

Hakim Ziyech then scored Chelsea's winner in the 72nd minute to make sure that the Blues maintained their place at the top of the table. Chelsea has 33 points and is one point ahead of Manchester City and 2 points ahead of Liverpool. Manchester City and Liverpool also won last night.
