KTN Home has continued with its Olympics viewership and has been releasing athletics schedule on daily basis especially in races which are Kenyas favorites.On Friday afternoon, two finals are lined up and Kenya is expected to win some medals in each of the races.
Both women's 1500 metres and men's 5000 metres will be on stage starting at 2.00pm EAT.Faith Kipyegon is expected to race Kenyas flag high in the ladies event but will receive stiff competition from Netherlands Sifan Hassan who already has a gold in 5000 metres after finishing ahead of Kenyas Helen Obiri in the final.
So far, Kenya has a total of 5 medals which came from men's 800 metres, women's 3000 metres steeplechase, women's 5000 metres and men's 3000 metres steeplechase.Kenya too has an Olympic record to it's name already.This is after Abel Kipsang broke the men's 1500 metres in the events semi final on Thursday.
