Harambee Stars To Field Under 23 Side In the Cecafa tournament this year.
Harambee Stars management under the watchful eye of veteran coach Jacob Ghost Mulee have decided to give opportunities to the young players.
The step was visibly felt in the last two games against Egypt and Togo where the young players did a good job earning 4 points in the two matches. Mulee made the bold decision to omit the likes of Victor Wanyama, Ayub Timbe, Eric Omondi and Johanna Omollo who had failed to beat Comoros at home.
The management seems to be keen on the development of the football team as early as possible. According to reports, the team will feature under 23 side in the coming cecafa senior Challenge Cup in Bahir Ethiopia. The likes of Johnston Omurwa, Daniel Zakari, Musa Masika and Henry Mejja will surely benefit from the tournament. The step is aimed at equipping the young talents ahead of the World Cup qualifiers starting from September this year.European countries have been developing young talents as they try to build a team for the future. That could be the reason behind their continued success in the sport.
We hope the young lads will put in the expected performance as they try to market themselves and also win a trophy for the country. We wish the management success
