In what was going to be a clash between the top and bottom teams, Chelsea emerged victorious after running Norwich defensive rugged. An early goal from England international Mason Mount gave The Blues the lead. This was followed by goals from Hudson-Odoi and Reece James. By half-time, Norwich were 3-0 down and certainly, there was no coming back.
In the second half, left-back Ben Chilwell made it four. Norwich shot themselves in the foot when max Aarons scored their own goal. The opportunity for Mason Mount to score a brace was presented when he took the penalty, he missed at first but after the VAR review, he retook this sot and made no mistake.
Mount would later score at the last minute of stoppage time to complete the hat-trick and collect the match ball.
Chelsea now sit top of the table with 22 points. Norwich are still bottom and are yet to win any match.
