In Kenya, when one hears the name, Conjestina Achieng, he remembers boxing. This is because Conjestina Achieng was of the renowned boxers in this country. She had a great talent and represented Kenya in various boxing competitions.
During an interview on Radio Jambo with Massawe Japani, Conjestina's son, Charlton, disclosed that his mother is mentally ill. He said that the family once took Conjestina to Thika hospital and some people had offered to help her with bills. However, when the boxer was discharged from the hospital, those who had pledged to help were nowhere to be found.
Charlotte added that the family remained with no option but to go back to their rural home due to bills in the city. He also said that currently, the boxer is under the care of her mother, siblings, and relatives but she has not yet recovered.

Charlton finally said that seeing her mother going through that, affected her so much especially when he was about to sit for his national exams. However, he thanked her mum for taking care of him before she became ill.
