Italy continued with their impressive run after they knocked out Spain in the uefa euro 2020 semi final, thereby becoming the first team to reach the final and will play the winner between England vs Denmark.
Their win yesterday ensured that Italy remained unbeaten in 33 games since 2018.
In a match that had to be decided by penalties after a 1-1 full time draw, it was clear that Spain was the better side throughout the game but failed to capitalize on their ball possession and chances.
After a goalless first half, Italy were forefront in the hour mark through Chiesa’s goal, forcing Spain to equalize with 10 minutes left to play through Morata after a nice play with Olmo.
The pair who forced the game into extra time lost their penalties during the shootout with Jorginho sending in the decisive spot-kick.
