
FKF premier league side, AFC Leopards have sent congratulatory messages to the new cabinet secretary for Youth affairs and sports Ababu Namwamba.
Namwamba was nominated by president Ruto to take over from Amina Mohammed, he went through the parliamentary vetting committee, got approved and was sworn in at Statehouse Nairobi.
The club said the appointment is well deserved and that they are confident that under Namwamba's leadership, knowledge and guidance, the youth, art sector, sportsmen and women of all ages will strive for even greater heights and achievements.
During his vetting, one of the things he promised he will do if approved, is that he will call the president of fifa Gianni Infantino to resolve the issues affecting Kenyan soccer.
“We are confident that, under his exceptional leadership, Knowledge and guidance, the youth and arts sectors as well as sportsmen and women of all ages will strive for even greater heights and achievements,” read the statement released by the club.
