After a dismal start to their 2021/2022 Premeir league campaign where they had lost all their first 3 league assignments, Arsenal have bounced back in style to record back to back league wins, a uniform 1-0 victories against Norwich & Burnley last time out which has seen them climb to 13th spot in the PL standings with 6 points.
Instead of first choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno who had conceded 9 goals in their first 3 league fixtures, Gaffer Mikel Arteta opted to deploy summer signing Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks in their last 2 league matches & the promising shot stopper has really been impressive.
The 23 year old repaid the Spanish tactician confidence in him by managing to keep 2 cleansheets in his first 2 PL appearances for the gunners & he also made a number of key saves to deny opponents scoring opportunities which ensured the North Londoners recorded vital triumps against the Canaries & the Clarets. The youngster had also impressed in his full debut for Arsenal as he kept a Cleansheet in their 6-0 thrashing of Westbrom in their Carabao cup 2nd round tie a few weeks ago.
With Bernd Leno, 29, failing to impress & making alot of errors in the back which has costed the Mikel Arteta led side dearly, Aaron Ramsdale, 23, who has already really shown glimpse of keeping things solid at the back for the gunners, could be the long term solution to their goalkeeping department woes & hopefully he can be the catalyst they need to return to European football next season.
Is Aaron Ramsdale the prayers to Arsenals leaky defense?? Feel free to Like, share and comment your opinions below.
