Ralf Rangnick was appointed as the Red's interim manager earlier this week and the German will take charge of United for the first time these weekend. Rangnick was on stand on Thursday night as United come on a slow start to beat Arsenal 3-2.
United headed into the encounter having begun a decent run of result under Michael Carrick.
Crystal Palace on the other hand have dipped off a fair since their bid hug 2-0 win over Manchester City.
As a result, a win for Red devil's was expected on the day. And when all was Said and done, this is exactly what happened.
Manchester United dominated the proceedings but took till the 77th minute to open the scoring. Cristiano Ronaldo payed off the ball to Fred, who curled an effort into the corner of Palace's net. And this storm would be enough to secure Rangnick his first win as United boss.
