The BBC sports personality of the year and the winner of the golden ball in the 2022 world cup Lionel Messi have been slammed for letting his teammate and Argentina's goalkeeper Martinez mock Kylian Mbappe publicly during their win celebration in their home country.
Kylian Mbappe has been the talk of the sports headlines after portraying his majestic moves in football that won the heart of many but has faced criticism from the Argentina goalkeeper who carried a teddy bear bearing an image of Mbappe.
This has been claimed as a way of mocking him as he was unable to maintain the world cup trophy for his country. According to Piers Morgan, Lionel Messi was capable of stopping Martinez to protect Mbappe as they are teammates in the PSG.
Mbappe managed to score competently for his country during the world cup finals and appeared hurt to appoint of being consoled by his President after losing to Argentina through penalties.
