The transfer move of 17 year old Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal to Chelsea is now a done deal. This follows after the Gunners blatantly failed to convince the young prospect to stay and extend his contract for five more years. Chelsea were quick to talk to the player and oblige to all of his demands, particularly guaranteeing him a future spot in the senior starting eleven within the next two years. Hutchinson is apparently a very ambitious player and deservedly puts in the effort to maintain such a status.
It is definitely a big blow to Arsenal to lose one of their key players but what is done is done. Tuchel is not a big fan of young players like Arteta but his judgement of who should join the team and who shouldn’t is reliable. Hutchinson is said to be very delighted with the transfer move and is soon to be announced once Chelsea embark on their first few pre season friendlies in the USA.
Speaking of USA, the Blues are now an inch closer to completing the signing of top rated shot stopper Gabriel Slonani. This transfer move has been met with a lot of hurdles, with the biggest one being Real Madrid’s strong interest in the 18 year old. The exit of Marina Granovskaia also played a part in delaying the transfer move since the youngster had agreed to join Chelsea on conditions clearly spelt out by the former club football director. Trusting a new owner with his best interests was not easy but he decided to do the honorable thing and swallow his pride and continue with the transfer move.
The plan however is that the shot stopper will stay at Chicago Fire for a one year loan deal before he is officially unveiled at the end of next season as a new Chelsea player. This will be specifically done to aid in his development since he will be guaranteed maximum minutes at Chicago Fire next season. A €10 Million transfer deal is already in place and all that is remaining to be done is the appending of signatures in Chelsea’s contracts.
