The FIFA World Cup group stages are almost over. Some teams have been eliminated while others have qualified. Today their were several matches that have concluded. Morocco played Canada and Croatia played Belgium In this two matches there have been teams that have been eliminated. For instance, Belgium became the latest team today to head home after failing to win against Croatia.
Morocco became the second African team to qualify for the round of 16. They now join Senegal, which was the first team to progress. Morocco beat Canada by two goals to one. Hakim Ziyech opened the scoring for Morocco in the fourth minute before En Nesyri added his name to the scoreboard in the 23rd minute. 
Aguerd's own goal gave Canada a consolation goal in the first half. Canada are winnless in this year's world cup as they lost all of their three group stage matches. Today could see more teams being eliminated.
