Arsenal is set to travel to Tottenham today for a North-London derby clash.
Arsenal has been on the top of the table since the start of the season, they have played 17 premier league games, winning 14, losing 1 and 2 ended as a draw. Arteta's side has 44 points, 5 and 6 points ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
Artetas men will today travel to Tottenham, with the aim of grabbing all three points to bolster their chances of winning the tittle, this is after their close rivals Manchester City suffered a loss to Manchester United yesterday.
Team News.
Arsenal's boss Mikel Arteta, on Friday confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit for selection today, this is after the Englishman took a kick in the mid-week win over Oxford leading to his substitution. However, Gabriel Jesus is still nursing his knee injury therefore he won't be available for selection, as well as Reiss Nelson who wil also miss the clash due to the same problem. Otherwise, the remaining squad is fully fit.
Expected Line-up.
Aron Ramsadale has made the goalkeeping position his own at Emirates, and therefore with no doubt he is going to start between the sticks.
Ben White is likely to feature in the right back position, as Oleksandar Zincheko fills the other flank on the left. After a rest in the mid-week game, Saliba is expected to return back into action to pair with Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of the defence.
Arteta will be fielding in a midfield pairing of Thomas Partey and Granit Shaka. Partey will be have to do the number 6 job as he has always been doing while his compatriot Shaka is expected to be both helping him and surging forward to launch attacks. Martin Odegaard has been Arsenal's best player this season, and as a captain he is expected to start further up the pitch.
Bukayo Saka has been a first team player under Arteta and he will be filling the right side of the attack. Gabriel Martineli, has also been exceptional this season and will see him starting on the left side of the attack. Eddie Nketiah will be the man leading the attack line, and has always been doing that following the Gabriel Jesus's injury.
Therefore:
Goalkeeper: Aron Ramsadale
Defenders: White, Saliba, Magalhaes, Zincheko
Midfielders: Partey, Shaka, Odegaard.
Forwards: Saka, Nketiah, Martineli.
Prediction.
Arsenal are travelling to North London in search of the three points to extend their lead, and therefore i don't see Arsenal losing in anyway. It is a tough game, but Arsenal is the stronger side and i predict:
Tottenham 1: Arsenal 3
