Qatar built seven stadiums for the World Cup finals as well as a new airport, metro system, series of roads and about 100 new hotels. Qatar's government says that 30,000 foreign labourers were hired just to build the stadiums.
Eight new stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar feature designs by some of the world’s most celebrated stadium architects.
Shahid Ali, an engineer from Maharashtra’s Nagpur who was part of the construction team of the stadium.
Shahid recalled that he went to Qatar when the construction work for the stadium had started back in 2017.
