The athletes who represented Kenya in the just concluded 2020 Tokyo Olympics Competitions arrived back to Kenya today safely. On arrival, Kenyan's were overjoyed as they cheered and congratulated them highly. To much surprise, the Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony welcomed their resident champion Ferguson Rotich in an heroic style. Chepkwony went ahead to gift the 31-year old athlete with an ambassadorial job- Goodwill Ambassador for the fight against Drugs and Substance abuse in Kericho County.

Fergusson bagged Kenya a silver medal making him one of the best champions in the competitions. Apart from the millions he will be earning from sports, he will now be helping the County Government of Kericho fight misuse of drugs and hence encourage residents to venture into productive activities like sports. This is a clear indication that handwork pays and dreams are always valid to those who believe and work towards attaining them.
