Eliud Kipchoge is a world record breaker in Marathon competitions.
He has set a record twice in 2019 and this year in Berlin marathon.
His wife Grace Rugut Kipchoge said that she was in a seven-day prayer and fasting ahead of her husband's race. This is what has greatly contribute to his victory.
Grace is pleased that her prayers were granted because her husband broke his own world record.
Grace watched the Berlin Marathon live on television with her children and other family members from their home in Elgon View estate in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
"I congratulate my hubby for breaking his previous world record time one more. For the past week, I have been in a prayerful mindset and have fasted in hopes of a miracle. I'm glad the win has returned home." She said.
Grace added that Lynn, Griffin, and Gordon, their children, were encouraged to keep up their hard work by seeing their father running well.
It really motivated them to work extra hard in school and they all were filled with joy when their father concluded the race.
