Some Premier League teams are set to return to action today as they prepare to continue with their battle to clinch the EFL Cup. The EFL Cup games are distributed between Tuesday and Thursday.
Out of 16 teams remaining, there are only nine Premier League teams. In all eight fixtures that are set to be played, there is only one match which will bring together teams from England top league.
The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester City will continue when the two teams clash on Thursday at Etihad stadium. Other EFL Cup fixtures are as follows:

Wolverhampton vs Gillingham
Newcastle vs Bournemouth
Mk Dons vs Leicester
Southampton vs Lincoln
Wednesday 21st December
Charlton vs Brighton
Blackburn vs Nottingham
Manchester United vs Burnley
Thursday 22nd December
Manchester City vs Liverpool
Quarter Final draw will take place immediately after Manchester City and Liverpool game. Since the game can go up to penalties, there is no exact time for a draw.
