The world cup tournament finally came to an end on Sunday evening with Argentina walking away with the trophy and other goodies provided by the FIFA federation. The end of the world cup also marked the end of life for some stadiums in Qatar that had been constructed to host the tournament.
The finals were played at the Lusail stadium which was the biggest of the eight stadiums constructed to host the world cup tournament. It had a capacity of at least 80,000 people. Having served it's purpose the stadium will now be converted to a community space comprising of schools, shops, cafes, sporting facilities and health clinics.
Some of the seats from the stadium will be removed and donated to other developing countries to help support their developing football dreams. Some of the space will be used to develop residential spaces. Only two stadiums will be maintained to be used by local soccer clubs.
