After failing to qualify for next year's AFCON tournament in Cameroon, Kenya's Harambee Stars shifts all focus to the qualifications for the 2022 World Cup that will take place in Qatar. The dates for the fixtures are officially out with group matches scheduled to take place between June and October this year. Kenya is pooled in group E alongside Mali, Uganda and Rwanda. None of the teams has been at the global tournament.

The qualification journey begins on 5th June and ends on 12th October. Kenya will renew her rivalry with Uganda by hosting them in Nairobi on the opening day of qualifiers before traveling to face Rwanda a week later.

Ghost Mulee will have a tough outing in September when Stars play Mali in a double-header between 3rd and 7th with the first-leg encounter being staged at home for Harambee Stars.

Kenya will then travel to Kampala to face off with the Cranes between October 6th and 7th before inviting Amavubi of Rwanda between 11th and 12th October to wrap up the qualification campaign.
