Manchester united as appointed former player Darren Fletcher as a first team coach to assist Ole Gunnar Solskajer. Fletcher has been the under-16 coach since October until the recent promotion to join the first team full-time. He joins Ole Gunnar Solskajer, Michael Carrick, Mike Phelan and Kieran McKenna as the reds look to secure premier league title this season.
The 36-year old said he is delighted to work for united. "It's a very exciting time for this young team and I am looking forward to taking the next steps in my coaching career by working with Ole and his staff," the former Scottish midfielder said.
Solskajer confirmed the news saying: "Darren has united DNA running through his veins and he knows exactly what it takes to be a united player."
Darren Fletcher had a great career at Old Trafford. He become a favourite in the peak years of Sir Alex Furguson. The former Scottish midfielder scored 24 goals in 342 appearances for united. He helped the red secure five premier league titles during his tenure at Old Trafford.
