KPL Champions Tusker FC Head Coach Matano Confident That His New Signings Will Help Him In CAF Games

Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano says he has been left impressed with his new signings after training in Mombasa for a week.

The Brewers have been preparing for their CAF Champions League first leg match against Djibouti's Arta Solar 7.

The Matano side have signed over ten players after winning the 2020/21 league title and have parted ways with 11 players as they continue to restructure ahead of the new season.

Head coach Matano in an interview with the Star Newspaper said that he is happy with what the new players have brought on board as far as the preseason training is concerned.

Midfield maestro Humphrey Mieno termed the Mombasa training camp a success as it enabled them build the team spirit.

Tusker FC will play Egyptian giants Zamalek in the first round of Africa's Premier club competition should they beat Arta Solar 7 in the preliminary round.

The new signings at Tusker are: Brian Bwire, Patrick Matasi, Dan Sakari, Kalos Kirenge, Clyde Senaji, Charles Momanyi, Teddy Osok, Ibrahim Joshua and John Njuguna.
