Fierce football critic and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has once again questioned Mikel Arteta’s leadership at Arsenal after he pointed out that Mikel Arteta gave Granit Xhaka a congratulatory pat on the shoulder after he was sent off in the 27th minute. Piers Morgan has demanded that Arsenal sack Mikel Arteta immediately because he lacks the managerial depth required to lead a big club such as Arsenal.
He said that Mikel Arteta is a weak leader at Arsenal and that is why experienced players such as Granit Xhaka can make such costly mistakes on the pitch and get away with it in the dressing room. Piers Morgan has in recent weeks been mobilizing Arsenal fans to rally for Mikel Arteta’s exit because trusting the process under him is very difficult and frustrating. Arsenal fans see no brighter days with Arteta.
Arsenal’s winger Willian Borges has agreed to join Brazilian side Corinthians on a free transfer and the announcement will be made on Monday once the player flies to Brazil for his medicals. Fabrizio Romano said that the last 6 days were tense between Arsenal and Corinthians but the two clubs were able to knock down a few stumbling blocks which were making the transfer deal complicated.
Willian was vehemently fighting for the exit and had made it clear to his agent that he wants to leave Arsenal before the transfer deadline. Arsenal are currently scouting for his replacement with Houssem Aouar currently being on top of the list. Willian will wear the number 10 jersey at Corinthians.
Arsenal fans yesterday were borderline disappointed by the poor performance of the Arsenal players. Conceding two early goals and picking up a red card was enough to send some Arsenal fans home at the 27th minute because they could not endure anymore. Those who stayed throughout the game were forced to see their team being punished which was so painful that they decamped and joined Manchester City fans in celebrating the fourth goal.
