Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire has thanked president William Ruto after touring the proposed site for the Embu Sports stadium at Njukiri with Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Ababu Namwamba, and the Director General, Sports Kenya Pius Metto.
"Together with the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Ababu Namwamba, and the Director General, Sports Kenya Pius Metto, we have toured the proposed site for the Embu Sports stadium at Njukiri.
We envision putting up a mega sports city at the facility. I am grateful to H.E. the president Dr. William Samoei Ruto for his commitment to cement the partnership between the Embu County Government and the National Government to help us realize this dream.
We have also toured the Embu Moi stadium which currently is in a dilapidated state. The stadium will be given a facelift to ensure our youth have a sports and recreation facility within town. Better days ahead". Said Hon. Cecily Mbarire Embu Governor.
